Practicing hiking starting from Cal Pubill allows us to remember the old practice of the Catalan mountain peasantry of watching over the forests and herds of cows and sheep, accessing emblematic places such as Milany Castle, Bellmunt or Puigsacalm, Romanesque hermitages such as Santa Margarita, San Bartolomé or the two perched Santas Magdalenas, enjoy a bath in gorges such as Toll or Salt del Molí, or take a drink of fresh water from fountains such as Martingala or Tornadissa. All unforgettable.

Although the lintel of the main entrance door is from the 17th century, many signs of its internal structure make us think of a much earlier origin. The house, completely restored, allows us to enjoy the flavor of the old evenings of the Catalan manors with large rooms to stretch our legs or enjoy the gathering. The originality of the middle fireplace stands out, with the seat around the flame, an almost unique piece.

At the end of the 18th century, the corral and the barn were built with a total of 10 large arches, making it one of the largest in Catalonia. The barn opens onto a tiled floor, with views over the wild Vidra landscape, but also over the Plana de Vic and Montseny.
